We are interested in curing mental illness, in serving children’s needs, and in undoing the crippling effects of the past. But we are equally—perhaps more—interested in challenging children with the adventure of life, in promoting improved capacity to deal with the struggles of human existence, and in anticipating the opportunities of the future.
Fore the Children Golf Tournament raises $140,000
The 22nd Annual Fore the Children Golf Tournament was held on Monday, October 3rd, raising more than $140,000 in support of Walker programs.
Golfers enjoyed a gorgeous fall day and perfect course conditions at the beautiful Wellesley Country Club. After the tournament, participants enjoyed a spectacular buffet and a silent auction featuring many unique and collectible pieces of sports memoribilia.
The parent of a Walker student, comedian Mark Riley, kept the audience laughing and shared his own story, describing how he credits Walker with providing excellent care for his son while offering compassionate support services to his family.
Auctioneer and longtime participant Harry Rose led a spirited live auction, showcasing Boston sport packages and premium tickets.
Congratulations to Team Brand Content and Team McKay as our first place net and gross winners this year!
