Wide Range of Consultation Offers School Systems Effective Options

Case Assessment, Case Consultation, and Short-Term Program "Triage" from Walker Partnerships

As many school administrators know, all too well, “stuck cases” can lead to broken relationships with parents. If your team is experiencing difficulty with a specific case, Walker Partnerships can provide the assistance you need to find a resolution that satisfies the needs of all the stakeholders.

Our highly skilled education and clinical staff can assist you in resolving the issues surrounding a particularly difficult case through Case Assessment. This approach consists of 15 hours of on-site review of records, interviews of school-based personnel and parents, and student observation. We will follow-up by attending a meeting and providing a brief written report with specific recommendations. The cost for this service is $2,400.00

To assist with successful implementation of these recommendations, Walker Partnerships also offers Case Consultation services. Our staff will work with your school-based team, along with parents, for a limited time or at critical transitions over the course of the school year. While it is typically purchased by the hour, some schools systems have found it effective to purchase Case Consultation services for eight to ten weeks at a time; some others have utilized Case Management services for the balance of the school year to deal with particularly difficult cases.

Whether your team needs Case Assessment or Case Consultation, Walker Partnerships can provide outcome-focused assistance to your school-based team to successfully maintain a student with complex social, emotional, and behavioral needs within his or her own school.

Walker Partnerships is also continuing a service that was initiated last spring, Short-Term “Triage” service that will assist districts in affecting systemic change in existing programs that may be experiencing difficulty, operating the program on a daily basis and ensuring that students are making the necessary changes in their behaviors so that they can be academically successful and demonstrate appropriate behaviors.

This service is identified as a triage service, by which WP will complete the service within twenty- four (24) on-site school operation hours. The services included are:

  • Review of all program material related to the program’s mission, purpose, behavioral intervention protocols, and operating procedures
  • On-site observation of the school-based program
  • Interviews with key program personnel
  • Set of specific recommendations

The cost for this service is a single charge of $3,840.00

Walker Partnerships conducted this service last year in several school districts and found that it was very beneficial to quickly outlining strategies that could be organized and implemented in a relatively short period of time. As a result of our work in these districts, we now know that there are other districts that need immediate assistant in a short period of time. This approach is designed to make critical changes in the shortest period possible, providing an immediate effective strategy to improve the quality of programming for a very difficult population of students
